Afternoon glare in the living room or no privacy in your RV bedroom? This medium spring kit restores shade tension on windows 38" to 55" wide, so you can settle in, read, or rest without squinting through sunlight.
You're trying to relax in the living room, maybe catch a show or read, but the sun's pouring in through the slide-out window, lighting up your whole space. Or you're at the dinette, just sitting down to dinner, and glare from the window hits you square in the face. Even in the bedroom, you can feel exposed when the shades won't stay down. These are the moments when you realize how much comfort and privacy depend on a simple spring doing its job. When it loses tension or the autostop cracks, the shade creeps up, droops, or refuses to hold position. This kit includes both parts, so you're covered either way. Once replaced, your shade will roll smoothly again and stay right where you need it, letting you control the light and get your privacy back.
Medium kits are made for RV shades between 38" and 55" wide. If you're close to the max width, it won't hurt to go up to the next size. The only limit is the spring size and whether it fits inside your shade's roller tube. These shades need the right spring to roll evenly. So before you order, check the spring inside your shade. If the internal diameter measures 28 mm, this is the right kit. If you have a standard tape measure, that will be about 1-1/8", or a little bigger than the size of a quarter. If it measures closer to 11/16", about the size of a dime, you'll need one of the 17 mm spring kits instead.
Nothing stops a repair faster than missing hardware. This kit includes the spring, clips, screws, and endcaps, so you can fix the problem in one go and get your shade working like new. And all you need is 3 tools: a pair of pliers, a 1/8" Allen wrench, and a flat-head screwdriver.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this MCD Innovations Medium Spring RV Shade Repair Kit. Now this kit is designed for one medium RV window shade. The internal diameter of the springs for this kit is going to be 28 millimeters, so you do want to be sure to measure to ensure accurate spring size. And this kit includes everything that you see here on my table.
You're going to get one 28-millimeter mini spring, one 28-millimeter autostop. And then you're also going to be getting what you see here. You're going to get two black endcap sets, two for the left and two for the right. And then we move over to the beige here, two beige endcap sets, two for the left, two for the right. And then we have these four standard clips.
And then you have the set screws here. The ones that are in yellow are going to be the metal set screws, and then the ones without the yellow paint are going to be plastic, so two metal and two plastic set screws, along with instructions to guide you through the installation process.
